As a founding member of the Coalition for Cyclist Safety, Spoke is pleased to welcome Toyota Motor Europe as the newest member of the Coalition and its Steering Board.

Toyota's decision to join both the Coalition and its leadership group reflects the growing commitment among leading automotive manufacturers to advance connected technologies that can help improve safety for cyclists and other vulnerable road users.

For years, Toyota has played an active role in the development of connected mobility solutions, cooperative intelligent transportation systems, and V2X technologies. Through research initiatives, pilot programs, and contributions to international standards efforts, Toyota has helped advance technologies that enable vehicles, infrastructure, and road users to communicate and share awareness information in real-world environments.

Their long-term vision for safer, smarter mobility closely aligns with the Coalition for Cyclist Safety's mission to accelerate the deployment of V2X technologies that help reduce crashes involving cyclists and other vulnerable road users.

Founded by industry leaders including Spoke, Audi, and Bosch, the Coalition brings together organizations across the automotive, bicycle, telecommunications, infrastructure, and technology sectors to advance connected safety through collaboration, education, and deployment.

Toyota's participation on the Steering Board strengthens the Coalition's ability to guide industry discussions, support deployment efforts, and accelerate the adoption of connected safety technologies at scale.

"We're pleased to welcome Toyota to the Coalition for Cyclist Safety," said Jarrett Wendt, CEO of Spoke. "The safety of both drivers and riders remains central to our mission. Having Toyota join both the Coalition and Steering Board demonstrates the growing commitment from leading automotive manufacturers to introduce and scale critical V2X solutions and help accelerate broader adoption of connected safety technologies."

As fellow Steering Board members, Spoke looks forward to working alongside Toyota and the broader Coalition membership to advance solutions that improve awareness between vehicles and vulnerable road users and contribute to a more connected transportation ecosystem.

The addition of Toyota marks another important step in the Coalition's continued growth and reinforces the industry's shared belief that connected technologies will play an increasingly important role in improving road safety outcomes for everyone.
